Extra-Curricular Activities

Montrose Academy has a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Extra-curricular sports and activities promote healthy habits for life and enhance the ethos of the school through clubs and teams

Montrose Academy Parent Partnership is made up of parents, carers and teachers

Fundraises to help pay towards projects and initiatives such as:

• cost involved in senior phase courses

• school dances

• sports equipment

• Duke of Edinburgh Award

• Dux medals

• specialist equipment

Why come along?

To find out what is going on in the school.

To get involved in decisions that affect your child’s education and learning.

To help support your child’s learning.

What you can bring…

As a parent or carer you are the expert on your own children and bring this understanding, information and knowledge about their needs.

You also:

have unique and varied skills, knowledge and experience

are a member of the local community and have links that the school may not have are in touch with other parents and can represent

a wider range of views.

When do we meet?

There are around 8 meetings a year and these are usually held on a Wednesday evening at 7pm in the school. Text message alerts will be sent out before each meeting.

All parents, carers and teachers will be given a warm welcome at any meeting.
